About Me

Hello Everyone!
I'm Shannon, the girl behind Sixtyone20. I'm glad you stopped by for a visit and hope you enjoy looking around.
I'm married to my highschool sweetheart. Technically he would be my middle school sweetheart as well. We have a beautiful daughter that you will see featured a lot here on my blog. She is our little miracle child, finally given to us after 13 years of infertility treatments. Wow, that was the day, to finally find out we were pregnant! She is one spoiled little girl, and rightfully so.
I am a part owner of a business that manages a Rural Water Corporation. This is my "9-5"day. While I am at this "9-5" job, I am able to basically do anything I want in between waiting on customers. That is where photography and digital scrapbooking come in.
I have always enjoyed photography. One year I was bored, my husband had a hobby that kept him busy all week and weekends, and I had nothing. Enter scrapbooking! I still have all of my paper scrapbooking supplies, but once I started this job in 2009, I discovered digital scrapbooking. This was a whole lot easier than dragging all of my papers and supplies to work everyday. I started out on Jessica Sprague, taking every class I could afford.
Then my daughter was born in 2008. Although I was happy with my photos, I knew I could do better. I found Clickinmom's and was hooked. I just signed up for my Lifetime membership to that in 2013. I have taken several classes through them and have learned so much more. My dream job now would be to be a Professional Photographer! I do dabble in it here and there, but that is about as far as it goes.
So my two hobbies collide in digital scrapbooking, and I love that I am keeping the day-to-day life documented for my girl. I love going through old photos and listening to my elders tell the stories behind them.
My other enjoyment in life is baking. I grew up with a Grandma and a Mother that were awesome cooks! I have inherited that great trait and I love to bake. On most weekends, you'll find me in my kitchen baking some recipe that I have either found or an old-time family favorite. I am trying to document this as well and post some recipes on here to share with you all.
So I hope you stick around and join me on this adventure we call life!
